Star Wars: Force Unleashed

This game actually looks interesting. I'm not a Star Wars guy, but this game looks cool despite if you're a Star Wars freak or not. And for once, you don't have to use your lightsaber 99% of the time. Here are some links:

^^Gametrailers as always providing some awesome information and video snippets.

Apparently it uses the same engine as Mass Effect, which is cool. I might actually get this game.

I just like the fact that you can Force choke someone, smack them around the walls a bit, and then make them explode with Force Lightning. :x

And yeah, I'll be getting it.  :P

I like that they use the Euphoria engine combined with the Havoc engine, so when you are grabbing Storm Troopers and throwing them around, they actually try to grab onto things to stabilize themselves and shit. It's beautiful, really.

Not to mention the graphics themselves are so fucking realistic, it's like watching a movie.  Hopefully by the time this comes out, I'll be settled in a new place with a big ass TV.  >:3

I'm sad that they are wasting time making a Nintendo DS version of this game (which has none of the cool engines and is going to be very poor graphically) and a down-graded Wii version, simply to make use of the Motion Sensoring for lightsaber effects, but not working on fine-tuning the code and engine to make a PC version plausible.

They've stated that they won't make a PC version because the specs required to run it would likely only be accomplished by the "five biggest geeks on the internet." But if they can downgrade the shaders and polygon counts to a point where it can run on the Wii, they can easily do the same for PC. Sad state of affairs, really. Even if it were insanely over intense for requirements.. people would gear for it. Just like they did with Crysis.

Yeah I heard that if you pick up a Stormtrooper another one will grab on and try to keep him on the ground. The result? Well they both go flying. :P

I think this game looks fantastic, but I'm a little concerned Euphoria will be cool at first, but then degrade into an overused gimmick. In some of the videos I've seen, those stormtroopers seem to have amazing grip strength.

But seriously, I would never pass up a chance to chop down trees with a lightsaber. NEVER.

Also, the fact that you can BEND METAL is awesome.

I will be getting a 360 JUST for this game.  As a big Star Wars freak (and one of the few who actually liked the prequals), I am really excited about Force Unleashed.

The website has been completely redone and a date of September 16, 2008 is posted as SW:FU's release date.  Hopefully, this will be the actual release, and it won't be pushed back again.

I can see some issues with the name of it. Hence the bold.
