Standard Battle Or Side View Animated?

I'm debating wether or not to use The standard battle system, with character battlers that look pretty great, or use the animated battler system where it's probably a little more entertaining, though more limited in the resources of battlers that I can use?

I like the animated battle system, it's really cool, but my main character is supposed to be able to transform into different creatures, and thats alot easier to do with the standard battle system. So I'm kind of conflicted right now. *sigh*

Does it matter? Do people Shrugg away from the standard? It seems that people would be less inclined to pick a game with no-motion pictures over a system where the battlers actually move and stuff.

tell the truth, theres been a real lack of "GOOD" uses of the standard battle system lately, I've seen some amazing ones, but these days mostly everyone uses a side view, and I'll even put myself in there, it doesn't get executed well enough.

thats just me though, I'm rethinking the whole thing myself.

Rye? paradog? I dont even know what that means. I've gathered some of my own resources for side view battles, and since the discovering of The RTP Reform Project, I've been more excited. It has the best animations I've ever seen. That combined with my side view battlers (layed out myself ) it's just an awesome battle all together. lol

The only problem I have is when you enter or exit a battle, it lags for like 2 or 3 seconds, weird.

Rye's, not catherRye i'm pretty sure, side view battle system uses character sets.

I used to use it, it does work pretty well it you take out all of the add ons, theres like a dozen of them too, but yeah, it's pretty versatile.
