This is just a small, simple tool that I originally created to make my life easier as I couldn't find something like this on the web in the exact format I wanted it(although I am sure it has been done). I am sharing this as it may just find some use to someone as it made my life easier when it came to spriting.
Simply put, it generates a grid to assist in spriting in your favorite image application. You just enter in the dimensions by either the cell(each sprite's dimensions) or the image(canvas) then specify the number of row and columns. Pick a background color and then click draw grid to generate a grid. Once you are happy with the grid, click save. The grid can then be imported into whatever image application you use, then just sprite over it on a new layer, hide the grid layer when done, then import your sprite sheet into your game. Yes I understand you can set/draw grids in these image applications, but I always found it annoying and painful and even worse when teaching someone how to setup a sprite sheet.
