Space Perspective

One time I went to the local county fair and saw a man doing space paintings with different layers of spray paint and a few other techniques all involving the spray paint.  I remember he had several that had the from moon to earth type of perspective and I loved them.  Before you all jump on me, I realize that this is no professional picture.  It is only my second day with GIMP ever anyways.. But I just wanted to share the perspective.  If anyone can come up with their own version that would be awesome. :>

For a second attempt it GIMP, I think it's bloddy cracking. The lighting effects in GIMP tend to be quite crappy, but you've put it to good use to create a sun there. Infact I damn enar like eveyrthing, possibly expect the rock formation. Great attempt in all, but it seems to plastic like when compared to the rest of the image. Good job in the long run, keep at it!

agreed and I think it would be better if the earth also had some signs of impact where the beam was hitting it.

If anyone can come up with their own version that would be awesome. :>

I shall take that up and see what I can come up with.
