Honestly I don't see much that anyone would have to complain about this picture, but judging by my history of receiving bad criticism (or no comments at all), I'm sure someone's gonna find something...
perhaps... there's somthign to be infered here?
god i don't want to touch this one, especially given said comment, which already suggests a certain level of over confidence and inability to take a critique. But my sense of morals and desire for general artistic improvement among the masses bids me otherwise...
lets start at the top and work our way down ... literally.
Item 1.) Her head. It's very bulb like which suggests one of two things: A.) She's Mayan, or B.) You smashed her head because u don't know the anatomy. The head consists of a Very round ball-like structure that is your brain cage so to speak, and the plate that is where your face rests. Think of them as a Golf Ball and a Quarter. Every angle u show this head at, the golf ball will always be perfectly round, and the quarter attached to it will foreshorten stretch and change in perspective. But here we don't even have that, we have a chin attached to grapefruit. Even if we keep the current proportions on her face, her eyes are too low her nose completely ignores perspective. Also she has a pez-neck. Your spine curves, and ur neck is part of your spine. Even at perspective angles there should be a gentle curve to the neck as it extends up from the shoulders, unless it's a 100% full frontal point of view (which i don't recommend doing as they are a.) boring and b.) difficult to draw)
Moving downwards, point 2.) HOLY MAN SHOULDERS BAT MAN! Even female body builders don't have that wide a frame in their upper body. She's absolutely masculine, and no amount of absurdly large breasts (which i will come to later) can disguise this. So unless she is the first trans-gender princess of wherever, ... bring her shoulders inwards a bit. because this will also help solve problem number 3 which is...
point 3.) she has Bob Hoskin's arms (see "Who framed roger rabbit"). lordly molly she has fat arms. but this, again, can be solved by bringing her shoulders in and shrinking her arms down to size with them.
point 4.) and this i think is your biggest problem both literally and metaphorically: WHAT pray tell is up with those basketball sized bosoms? for one thing, they have no depth and are drawn wildly flat, so she might as well have two Serving platters hanging form her chest but even if we ignore that, THOSE THING'S ARE SO SILLY! Even Naga from Slayers (who has some of the most ridiculous tatas in animation history) doesn't have that much bust. They look absurd, ARE absurd, and even if you're going for that Ivy from Soulcalibur 4 bust, those are still to big, and mis shaped, as boobs are not spherical (unless you're naga but that's a different story) note of opinion: You can make sexy charachters without making their jubblies jinormous, and doing that in my opinion demonstrates a serious lack of creativity.
Now that i've beaten the crap out of you let me help you get up and hobble away with some dignity.
I have seen other designs from you (scantily clad poorly drawn female heroes) and i have to say i think your sense of design is kind of horrid, but this thing here DOES actually have a few interesting design points buried beneath the general lack of skill. I do like the idea you have going with her hair, it's very gypsy-like and ... if i'm guessing correctly she looks kind of Hispanic. Dark skinned lead charachters are surprisingly under done and i wouldn't mind seeing more of them. I really can't stand the outfit below her hip line but i think the polka dots on the upper body pieces might be kind of charming. Maybe even cute.
You have.. a very long way to go and honestly i would scrap this picture and start over. Maybe even get some reference material (what a shocking concept, artists working form references..) ... Try harder next time and... please.... for the love of Design, ignore your manly impulses to make breasts the size of Nantucket.
mas out~
