Some Questions

Guys...i've stopped RPG making for about 9 months...but now im back..i simply forgot some stuffs...

1. When making a map...i do i fill the map using a shortcut key?
2. How do i make the SCREEN STARTING black? [after pressing new game..i only see a black screen then the events play its role...but if im doing CHANGE screen tone it SHOWS the map then CHANGES the screen tone...i want it black already]
3. Whats the average movement speed of an NPC?
4.Where are other sites that has a RPG maker XP Resources?

Use the Square Tool to fill a map with tiles quickly.

Either make a blank map (no tiles at all!), or use the Screen Tone command and set all of the sliders to 0, and set the number below the sliders to 0. Make sure the event is Parallel Process, and be sure to destroy the event (Erase Event command) or use a self switch or whatever to close the event.
