Some feedback for one of my pieces

Hi!
I came up with a little piece and I would like to get some feedback on it!
It's still the piano version, so it doesn't sound as good as if it were composed with different intruments, but I'd still like to get some feedback on the melody, what kind of RPG situation it would fit, etc.

You can download it here:

Edit: Oh, sorry, I should have posted in Resource Analysis! It's that I'm new here, I'm really really sorry...
Double Edit: Or not, because this is not for use... Can someone tell me where it should be posted, considering it's not really a "resource"? Sorry, it's that I just joined this community...

Yeah, Resource Analysis is the right place for this. Music is indeed a resource, along with sprites, logos, titlescreens, etc.
I'm writing my comments as I'm listening to the song.

It sounds very classical. Some of the notes seem to drone on, I don't think the repetition is the problem, maybe just the volume of those notes. I like your use of accidentals and the semitone chord (or octave+semitone, whatever it is). I personally also like songs such as this that busy themselves up instead of just shifting from one chorus to another.
I wouldn't stray too far from piano, I think this piece would actually work if it were piano only. If you do instrumentalize it I would stick with percussion-strings (piano, guitar, sitar, etc) or reeds (oboe clarinet etc). If you could find some good choir voices that would give it a nice Liberi Fatali feel.
As for scene, I think it best suits an antagonist cutscene or in an area where there is an eminent feeling of suspense. Your composition sounds desolate, but in a very important way.

Umm.. No. This goes in music creation, as he stated it wasn't others' use.

Anyways, it sounds nice.  It kind of reminds me of some of the FFVII BGMs a little bit.
On that note, I think it would either sound great in an Ancient Temple, or like Tai said, some sort of talking encounter with the main villain.
I really like the darker theme of this piece, 'specially with the melody.
I can't really figure out what instruments this would transpose to, however... It would would sound cool with Chimes. =D

Again, nice job, and I expect to hear more good work from you!

Hmmm, it has a nice 'Elfman-esque' feel to it. Dark, mysterious, danger, or uncertainty, yet still energetic.
I'm thinking a dark forest chase, or time-based mini-game. Possibly even a
battle theme for 'creatures of the dark' or dungeon dwellers.

I like the piano. Although I'm biased as I've been playing piano for [a lot] of years.

I'm imagining strings. Cello for the bass line(s), plucked or bowed violins / viola for the melodies. Some subtle sound effects or percussion (castanets, wood blocks, clickers...)  depending on the scene & whatever fits.

Or, one of my favorite combos is Piano & Cello. It gives the piece / scene a very unique atmosphere. Again, it depends on the particular scene, and what type of emotion / feel you're trying to invoke.

Be Well

That's very nice, I love the atmosphere of it. I agree with Brew; some cello in there would probably be a nice touch, and still remain consistent with the current feel.

If I were to criticize one thing, I'd say that it's a bit too systematic for the most part. The accompaniment part becomes a little repetitive and the melodies almost always come on the down beat/start of a measure. It might be beneficial to have a couple of odd beats/rests in there somewhere at times for variety. c:

But aye, good stuff! I very much enjoyed it.
