Your art looks adorable. For CG, which program do you use? If you use ones with Layers, did you try layering with the lineart layer set to multiply? It can help making your CGs look better. :)

The weapons are pretty neat-looking and actually, I'm impressed that the anatomy of the hands are pretty good. The perspective is well-thought out, too, especially on the feet, and that trips up a lot of aspiring artists.

Remember, though, people have definition in their legs, notably, calves. Your folks there have chicken-leg syndrome.

Also the eyes are way far apart. Scootch those bad boys in toward the nose a little.

Typically anime eyes have more definition/shines than what you have there, too, but I've seen popular animes get away with absolutely no eye definition so that's more of a preference thing I think.

Anime was never meant to stick to one, universal style, it's really the same with American animation, only Japan seems to like cat-girls and big, googly eyes. Seriously, if Tom & Jerry was made in Japan that would be called "Anime".

On the artwork, can't really say it's bad at all. You did the first one on the computer? I'm impressed, it looks like a watercolor painting with a few elements of abstract collage. ^_^

Venetia has already said what was needed about the legs.

Thanks. ^_^ I'm personally pretty proud of the hands myself. Hmmm, the eyes range... Okay, I'll do something about that.
Well, about styles, I'm used to this, and I actually don't really like those typical anime styles. Too sparkly sometimes. But thanks again for the critiques.

I'm used to make signatures and wallpapers, so at least I know which tool to use in Photoshop. Thanks for the compliment. ^_^

personally I think you have great potential. And i don't say that to alot of people. What I think you need is a bit of discipline to bang out the few anatomical discrepancies. To set yourself apart from all the other anime artists out there (seems like theres a bunch of em popping up every day) you need to add form, curvs, Put a real life spin on the flat 2D hell that is anime. Mixing traditional art with the manga style will prove to bring great results. Maybe try drawing a few female figures as they were ment to look. This is one of my favourite quotes from the book, Andrew Loomis - Figure Drawing for all it's Worth. "The nude human figure must serve as the basis of all figure study. It is impossible to draw a clothed or draped figure without knowledge of the form or figure underneath" Keep this in mind and grow from it.

Thank you very much. XD Well, I'm used to draw female characters more than drawing male characters, because most of the male characters I drew turned out to be too... girly. I'm still trying to do something about it. Maybe I should upload it as well... However, thank you for your advice. ^_^

I dont know if its been said. but on photoshop there is a filter called cutout. and if you put pencil work into it and play around you can make it sort out the lines for you :)

@xCumaSoft: XD Thanks for the tips!
@JakeyZombie: Your name somehow reminds me of Jake Ryan from Hannah Montanna... XD BTW, not really, I'm still nothing compared to many artists on the net! X3 Like, for example, Rye-san! =D
@Irgna: Hee hee, thanks.

I sometimes use PNG, but the size is too big for a mere sketch...
^_^ Yes, JPEG is fine. I usually use PNG for sigs or banners or wallpapers.

Thanks!! =D

Beautiful job for a first CG. You could probably produce a cleaner lineart if like said earlier, you put it on a separate layer set to multiply. But before that, clean it up by making it grayscale first, then adjusting it with Image > Adjust > Levels to remove the grays, dirt and to better define the lineart itself.

@Raey: Oh ya! Thanks! I do forget that I saved that file in BMP. XD

@sabao: Thank you. Hmm... Okay I shall try out the tips soon.

Wee, many people here really give many useful advices!! =D I love you all~! <3
