Some battler sketches for a cancelled project

Good day everybody!

Before I show you my work, I'll introduce it real quick. The images below are for an RPG game I once was going to make, called The Echoside. The project however has never really been shown to the public, but used 100% custom resources by yours truely (when it still existed). Over the years, I've lost my project twice and have lost all desire with working with graphic resources anymore, so I turned to RGSS because I was sick 'n tired of goddamn pixels anymore.

I'm hoping, if anybody even knows how, that somebody will be intersted in finishing these (for themselves... for me... for whatever, I'd just like to maybe assist somebody to finish these one day) and if so I'll reformat them so all that'll be left is color work, because in the end that'll be all they need. Yes, they do need resized, yes they do need outlined, I'll do all that... I'm not coloring these though, I'll make them usable apon request so that all the user will need is to apply color but other than that I'm not going to continue these. However, at the very least I'm posting these for the fuck of it, you can at least give me critique on them if you'd like.

Enjoy, critique... :thumb:

PS; Actually, I will continue these if anybody would like me to, I just don't have plans to thats all... I'll even re-draw existing work, because alot of it could've been done better.

not baaad. for the most part, the only real improvement you need will probably just come from persistence and daily practice. you seem to be managing different angles pretty well. there are things out of proportion and whatnot. the chick with the fan has something strange goin on with the left arm. also a loose-fitting shirt like that would not take the shape of her boobs. @_@

also, sharpen you darn pencil! a couple of those look terrible because they were drawn with a dull pencil.

I suppose I could go over these one last time and redo them (my youngest son had gotten to the origionals, alot of them would have to be redone by scratch... however theres like 60 of 'em I did, these just happen to be the best ones I scanned.) This is about how far I could get with them before bad stuff started happening so they never were finished :X

Hmm, I still want to make these usable, I'll have to check in the Tutorials section and see if I can find a good guide to creating good looking battlers (scanning, resizing, coloring, importing, etc). If anybody has any more critique (or a good guide to the process of making a battler) then please do post, I might finish/restart these after all!

Thanks for your feedback Cruelty, I'll definately keep that stuff in mind! :thumb:
