Socom: Confrontation

Hey, I just bought this game about a week ago and it's really fuckin' awesome. The only problem is that all of my buddies don't have this game yet and playing with random people online isn't fun most of the time because they just run off on their own like this is Call of Duty or something. I'm wondering whoever else out there has this game and wouldn't mind forming a small clan of people who can work together to complete these missions.

Well I don't have it, although I've been considering getting it, since it looks pretty cool, I mean, even though the graphics look... meh, I quite fancy a tactical online shooter such as a Socom game (Although apparently it's nothing like the others o.O)

Maybe I'll pick it up some time soon, lol.

i rented it through gamefly, and i returned it within 20 minutes of opening it. didn't really care for it at all.

the game is really cheap I picked up my copy for 20USD. The graphics are pretty ps2 but the game play and the way a team could work together is really just all around fun. unlike CoD and Killzone (dont get me wrong im a huge fan of both theyre just different genres) which are run and gunners this one you actually need to use a mic and communicate with your team to get the victory.

if you like working in teams an shit and dont wanna spend big bucks i highly recommend it. so all you bastards hurry up an get it so i have someone else to play with

Not really, I just have high expectations when a game does really well. Like, as an example, if a game can have 74389274932794832 weapons, why the fuck does the camera have to suck? It's like.. camera first, weapons second, tyvm.

You have to realise, Socom Confrontation wasn't made by Zipper (That made the original three, which were AMAZING), but they gave up making Socom games to focus on MAG (Bad move if you ask me, I hated the BETA, as you already know...), but to be honest Socom Confrontation looks really cool, and I WILL pick it up... eventually, lol. And I'm sure if the gameplay is good, the camera can be overlooked...

psiclone you sound like your talking about borderlands (which i'm picking up tomorrow ^_^) but my buddy has it and it looks like a cell shaded version rpg version of far cry 2. I didn't see anything wrong with it though I didn't play it myself.

There's nothing wrong with Borderlands at all, really. If there is/are, I can't remember any of them at the moment. I was just making a random example I thought up in .2 seconds :P

lol.. now that you put it that way and after actually playing a decent amount of borderlands for myself. Far Cry 2 is balls in comparison. My library of ps3 games aren't that big and neither is my knowledge of them so I easily like alot of games until i find a real game that i should be liking instead. I used to think cross edge was the shit :x.

I got modern warfare yesterday and it's the only one i've played besides big red one but it is pretty fuckin awesome. I just don't like it because I haven't played a run and gunner in a long time and i'm used to killing them and them staying dead >:|.

Fayte, do you have MGS4, cause if you do, MGO (Metal Gear Online) is actually REALLY good in the tactical sense, just putting it out there since I assume you prefer tactical games to run and gun games...

PS. I'll be getting Socom: Confrontation VERY SOON... although after Friday all my time could be put into Dragon Age: Origins o.O

Nah I don't have it I'm pro Splinter Cell.. Don't get me wrong though, I fuckin' love this game. I haven't even picked up socom since bought it. I just had to get used to it that's all. The last 3 games I bought were shooters and I think the next ones I'm picking up is Drake 1 and 2. So far all of their best games are shooters imo.
