Is it really worth a shot to make a fully fledged game with the RTP?
I have no artistic abilities in me. Music or graphics. Well, I'm learning to sprite. Shading is just something I cant wrap around yet.
Anyway, I've used RPG Maker 2 (Playstation 2 game, for those who dont know) for darn near 5 years, and have made some games that won awards in the communities I frequented. That should say that I am fully capable of making a game on my own, with just default resources.
Oops, sorry, back on track. I have a game that's just itching me to make--but I'll only be able to use whatever free resources are available, which I'm sure you've all seen in about 80%+ of games around.
Is it worth a shot to try to piece together a serious game in RPG Maker XP and hope for it to go off well (without everyone going "oh god, not another RTP...")?
