So, Uni again

Anyone starting new this year? Must be some folks!

I'm starting my third and final year of Computer Games programming.

Five classes;

- Games Programming
- Mobile Gaming
- Secure Web Development
- Mobile Robotics
- Project

This year? Not quite, but I'm making arrangements to write my SATs in early November so I can attend an American university in January (I live in Canada, so I've never written such a test.) I'm looking to mostly study sociology and some artsy fartsy stuff, but I'm also looking to get into scripting and music on my spare time. I cannot wait to leave this crapsack town.

apllications for next year hasn't started yet, but i'm assuming i'll be doing the usual of what i have now: english comp 1102, some higher algebra/math/calculus/etc class, and pretty simple stuff honestly. I might be able to get computer science classes, but I doubt it.

I'm half-way through an accelerated Software Engineering course because I'm a smart-ass. :D It's a good deal though, this way the first semester when I go to uni for real I'm only doing 3/4 of the work, and it costs significantly less(and because I'm still young I can still make my mum pay for it!). And honestly, with any sort of background in programming, it's not a hard course.

I'm still in High School because I'm a youngin' here :(

This year's pretty easy for me, but my classes are all screwed up by a combination of my moving school districts and switching from a technical diploma to an advanced regular diploma. I'm in a lot of classes with repeaters and underclassmen. Still, it's not so bad as far as work is concerned.

- Fish and Wildlife Management (Basically it's only extra time for FFA relevant stuff)
- Spanish (I've got an awesome teacher who used to hang out with Carlos Santana)
- History (Amusing because my teacher looks exactly like Tom Berenger)
- Chemistry (This one is suckishly hard but my teacher is chill)

If it's any consolation, I only graduated last June. I'm pretty happy I took a semester off between graduation and university, though, I can't imagine having started classes last August.

I'm currently in my 4th year as a med student. I've got one more year to go. Then I'll do clinical rotations, half a year in Costa Rica and half a year in the US, and then I'll see if can get my USMLEs to apply for a residency in the US. Right now I'm taking the following subjects:
Pediatrics
Genetics
History of Medicine

Although, to be fair, I've gone like to three History of Medicine classes, so it's almost like only taking two really hard classes (seriously, they're really hard).

Last year in Multimedia Design here, courses include Usability, development for mobile platforms, Rich Media Application, ASP.net, webserver management and some marketing courses. Last 2 years was aimed more at webdesign (code+graphics) and database management while this years we'll be branching of from that.

In 1 year i'll have 2 degrees (already got a degree in journalism) ^^

Cool luck with all your studying you uni-goers :cute:
I have been out of uni for little over an year and I have just been working. Nothing new to report.
I do miss uni a bit.

I graduated high school last year and am currently taking a year off before going to university. The plan is to major in atmospheric & oceanic sciences at McGill in Montreal, which will take a couple of years.

climatology, hydrology and glaciology, bitches

(look at all you computer nerds :smoke: )

if you get a degree in meteorology you can move to america and be Dave D. Starr of the CHANNEL 6 ACTION NEWS TEAM where you will stand in front of green screens, be ushered in by INCREDIBLY SUSPENSEFUL MUSICAL INTERLUDES, and you will shout at the camera about how THERE IS A MASSIVE THUNDERSTORM POSSIBLY ROLLING IN, ACCORDING TO THE CHANNEL 6 ACTION NEWS SHARKX36 DOPPLER RADAR SYSTEM, AND EVERYONE OUT THERE IN THE TRI-COUNTY AREA NEEDS TO HOLD ONTO THEIR BUTTS AND KISS THEIR DOGS G'BYE {POSSIBLY}

DUDE those peoples lives are ACTION PACKED ALL THE TIME HOLY SHIT

or you could also be the weatherman on the san diego news, where your entire job is in saying "There'll be a light marine layer rolling in during the a.m., which should clear up by noon, then it will be clear & sunny the rest of the day. Expect a high temperature of 76 degrees at 2pm, and lows in the 72-74degree range in the evening." every single day, EVERY DAY

I'm in my final year of A levels ( CIE ) then I'm going to do a course in game design, still sorting out the universities I wish to go to then application e.t.c.

Why never graduate?

I've not made any final decisions about what I'm going to do after I graduate. For a good while now I've been interested in forensic science, particularly criminalistics, but I'm not particularly fond of the thought of moving to Tennessee, even though that's only a little piece from where I live already; I live in Northeast Alabama. Recently I've been entertaining the thought of agricultural forensics instead (that's basically investigating animal deaths in and around industrial facilities and making sure they maintain precautions to keep animals who wander into their plants from harm. The closer I get to graduation the more I realize how little I've seriously thought about college and future stuff. I feel sort of sick thinking about it :X

I just started studying as a Maritime Officer, so being steersman(?) or ship's engineer. I'm going to sail the seven seas matey
Courses are:
Navigation
Ship Engineering
Ship Stability
Mechanics
Maths
... And that sort of stuff. Don't know if my translation carried over to English that well:P
