Awesome! I NEED another good RPG for my PSP! And this is one game i have REALLY been wanting to come over =3 i can use all my favorite fighters! Yey! Hopefully this is a good sign for future releases! (Come on ToD: remake and ToD2 and ToP:FVE for PSP!! I am looking at you!!)

Wait a minute, a Tales of the World game? In America? Wow, first ToP finally makes it over and now this? I guess Namco AND Tri-Ace finally want to show some fan appreciation (the petitions probably helped too...) but I don't have a PSP...-_-
I guess this is the start of another chapter in Square-Enix vs. Tri-Ace...
In this corner, the Final Fantasy remakes for the Nintendo DS!
And in this corner- HOLY CRAP! It's the Tales series' far-too-long-delayed releases!
Seriously, though. Does anyone think that TotW will end up on the DS?

I'd settle for ToP: Summoner's Lineage on the DS, but I'd prefer Tales of Eternia (there is already a ToD2, so they should use the correct name this time, but that'll tick off a lot of He-Man fans!:D )

You see Leon with his Judas/ToD:Remake style of fighting, know the fact Harold is in the game, and that the ToS cast has the specials that they didn't get in the Gamecube/NA version, and you say the ToR characters are bad? :-/

It's not that they don't like europe, it's just hard as hell to localize there, since many europeans speak several languages other then English, and it's a VERY costly pain to find someone to translate into all of those.

Jup, I can confirm this because I'm an european of myself. We only got 3 games! However, this is a great sucess for the Tales franchise after all^^.

Anyways, not only are they adding a Grade Shop to the NA release, they're also adding new characters, with rumors saying that Grune, Norma, Farah and Cless/Cress are those characters.

GRUNE! <3 They need to add her. And Meredy. Everyone loves Meredy, right? XD.

If it doesn't get to Europe, I'm importing. UMD games have no region locks anyways.

WHAAAH! WHY IS IT TRI-ACE DOESN'T RELEASE FOR THE DS? I never got to finish it :(
And yeah, Meredy's one of my favorite characters, too. Quickie's good for a laugh sometimes.

Um, do you mean in America? Because Tales of Eternia was released in Japan and Europe QUITE a while back for the PSP. Europe getting America's Tales of Destiny II, but named its original name. Since they never got it originally. I dont know what other additions, but its basically the same. And why not the DS? Do you underestimate the power of the PSP? The DS probably cant store as much as the PSP's UMDs. Dont forget, Tales of Eternia WAS a 3 disc game. Not to mention, with the stupid duel screens and being all tiny, it wouldnt be worth it. THe PSP is obviously the best choice for the Tales games.

I have to agree with you there! Sheesh TOP was originally on the SFC! Why did they suddenly go to Sony! Sheesh, all of these Sony released games are now on Nintendo! Sheesh, even Spyro is almost completly GCN now a days! Why not the Tales Series?! [/rant]

I am fully aware of the PSP's capabilities, but perhaps you underestimate the DS's capabilities, just because it isn't doesn't play mp3s and videos or store pictures standardly doesn't mean it's weak, it just means it's specialized for the one reason it was made: to play games, not multimedia. (and technically, if you use a flash pak, it can play mp3s and store pictures, it's just uncommon to do that since that's not it's purpose) so it could, in theory, pull off a game such as Tales of Eternia. And as for the two screens being awkward and tiny, if they're so small, why is it I have no problems playing Tales of Phantasia (Battles too) on it? The touch screen could probably serve as a menu you use while playing for added convenience. The DS has yet to be given a serious challenge, just stuff the GBA coulda yawned at, so this could be it's chance to shine.
