Seika, a young boy growing up in the southern Snowpeaks of Melsia(the name of the planet) is suddenly thrust from his average life to stop a scientist bent on merging all the continents into one large landmass that he will control. The scientist(still trying to figure out the name) is preforming his experiments on the planet's crust, in a secret spot and Seika must find and stop him before it is too late. If all the continents come together, the resulting earthquake and mix of native fauna would cause a massive extinction.

Current Characters:

Seika
Age: 16
Height: 6 feet
Characteristics: A born leader, Seika has an aura of confidence around him. He always feels comfortable with what he is doing and lives life with no regrets. However, his somewhat cocky nature can lead him into trouble, but he usually comes out fine.

First, please clarify a few things...
1. Why does he stop the scientist?
2. Why does HE stop the scientist?
3. Why does he WANT to stop the scientist?
4. How does he find out about the scientist?
Answer those and it'll be A-OK

I'd also like to know what the scientist stands to gain from merging everything into one landmass. It won't be that much easier to control, nor will it magically give him total control of the world (although the tectonics would probably kill off most of the planet's population and make sure the survivors are too busy trying to stay alive to put up any serious threat to him).

On the plus side, the story sounds a little different from the norm. Mad scientists trying to do some planetary redecorating is something we don't get to see that often.

1+2)Seika lives in the snowcaps, so when the scientist starts to try and move the continents for the first time, the resulting earthquake sets off an avalanche that destroys half of his village. He hears on the news of the scientist and because of the personal damage that has been done to Seika (his home being destroyed), Seika decides he must stop him.

The scientist is trying to revert the world back to a "Pangea" type state. He feels that if he does, he will be able to effectively be able to join the whole planet into one single country that he will become "president" of.

First off I think the maps are nice, but I would like to see a little more room in the houses so you can see everything in it (e.i. bookcases are cut off because a wall blocks the view. this gives a bit of a cluttered look)
I realize this is a WIP, but I would like to suggest somethings that I think will peak interest about your project and that way people will check up on it to see if there are updates:

If possible:
-Screenshots, everyone loves them, gives them a reason to at least D/L the game to check it out
- A intro cut scene ( otherwise you start the game and it seems weird because you don't know your purpose or anything )
- Doors that you don't have to hit spacebar to open while in a house. ( It's good for entering a house but when inside sometimes its a problem & tedious, e.i. I went into one of the rooms that is to the side so you can't see the door. Once in side you appear trapped till you figure out where the door is and that you have to press the space bar to open it)

*None of these comments are meant as a put down, just some suggestions I know would catch my attention. Feel free to ignore me but I wanted to offer my feedback in case you wanted any.

Note: while playing this game I have learned that there is a "key" in the northern part of town but i have yet to find it. perhaps you could enlighten me and make it easier to find. Sometimes if you start with something too clever in the begining people lose interest because they can't figure it out and haven't invested enough time into the game to want to search harder.
