SnowBoarder Sprite *-* Need Help!

Hey guys! I'm going to take a wing at the new Breeze Template. And in the spirit of my favorite season, I drew a snowboarder... guy.

I REALLY need some help on this guys. I would like to improve but my talents are just miserable!
(Oh and also, how do you enable Nearest-Neighborhood method when resizing? The way I did this was way to annoying)

Some points you should know before you comment.
  • The blue thing is actually his goatee... or supposed to be
  • The jacket and pants are supposed to be puffy, like winter cloths
  • I am horrible with shading and I think I ended up pillow-shading

If maybe one of you spriters out there would like to give me a few tips then that would be great because I'm just swinging at dust-balls over here.

Looks nice but I believe the new breeze template calls for more contrast, more detail etc. try and add some more detail like shaping to the hat (ie that line though zig-zagging looks too straight), the jacket could also use a little more detail.

Also, wouldn't snow boarders wear gloves? (I could be wrong here)

Good work, don't quit now :)

Edit: also please use Imgzoom tags instead of using multiple versions of the same sprite, as imgzoom makes these redundant now :)

Heh yeah, I hadn't really payed much attention to the goatee... Maybe if you converted it to a face mask? (not sure of the name of it) something that covers the mouth n nose. (scaff? XD)

Ok, I plan on making the changes as soon as possible but there was a storm that blew out our power for a while and blew out my computer, tv, my xbox, and a vairity of things. So it may take me a bit to get back to this. =(

(writing this on dads crappy laptop)
