Sleeping Death Sketch

What does death do when there is nothing left to drag across the river styx?
He sleeps ofcourse.
This is my hand at sureal art. I sketched the drawing out with a piece of graphite on a brown piece of paper and went over it with a pen. I then added effects and other astetics to it with photoshop. What do you think?

I also wanted to get away from all the bloody manga and anime stuff thats been going on everywhere. Its so over rated. This was an escape for me, by doing something not anime or manga themed and it being surreal in nature.

ur suspecting me to be a good artist because of photoshop? The sketch too about 10 miniutes to do but the photoshoping took like an hour. This is 30% standard art 60% digital art. They come together. If it looks good it looks good. Being an artist depends on how well you pull it off. Or in anyones case what you are happy with. This is what I am happy with. But ill show em to ya anyway. I know you didnt mean it as a backhanded complement but i forgive you.

I think they look better without the photoshopy ness. =) It doesn't look so much surreal to me, more like emo, but hey, it's all opinion. But I can say one thing: I do really like them better without the photoshopped mess.

Real- something drawn in the correct context. Surreal something moved from the origional context and exagerated to a certian degree.

The photoshop stuff was me playing with some brushes that i had just gotten.

Define emo? If anything it would be death cutting a heart in two or something. This is more Renaissance to me. Minus the naked people. It just reminds me of that style for some reason.

They look great man! Seriously. You make great pictures with very little lines, and that's talent! Keep doing what you do and you'll be one of the greats here.

Nice to see someone else appreciates art here. Im hoping to do a game like that style. Im a bit hesitant seeing on how hard it is to find people to work with.
