So I just got RMXP and have set up basically a test game to just learn how to do things and interact with them to see how well they work. I have many ideas for how i want in the game but the one i'm most concerned with now (mostly because it has been something I found to be great in the game that have them) is a leveling up system that allows skills to level as they are used. Such games are like Secret of Mana and (closer to what i would like) Oblivion. Now in Oblivion, the skill would only increase if it was successfully executed (meaning in order to level up summons all you had to do was run around raising skeleton after skeleton but in order for the destructive spells to work, you actually had to hit an enemy with them.) That's pretty much what I'm looking for. Now I've seen a few things on other forums about sdk...don't know what that is and I'm pretty sure that means I don't have it.
There's lots I would love to learn, so if you know of basic stuff discussed in other posts hit me up, but this leveling up system is probably the most important thing about this game to me right now.
