Side View Pixel Art

Im gonna be making a Side View Pixel Monster Set (I'm also currently in college so it'll be a LONG while before I'm fully completed.)

So far I have one enemy done, it's a basic slime really, it's just to show my art style...kind of (It IS a slime after all)

If I feel the need to add more monsters to show as examples I will, I only have one and I think Im good with pixel art work.

To be honest, it'd look much better if you lost the black outline and replaced it with some pixel aliasing, and then to add lines to the interior edges.

Needs more contrast in a major way, especially the bandit. The line art's good, but your colors are so pale and similar that it's hard to make out what's going on unless you magnify it. It's basically black outlines with a few vaguely different colors on it, and it doesn't have any dimensionality at all.

The lines could be better, they're still a little inconsistent here and there. This also counts for the highlights (determine your lightsource).

And I suggest you make the black outlines "less black", maybe a dark gray? Because pure blacks don't really go well with pale basecolors and the outlines would disappear on a black background. I also strongly suggest you add some more contrast.

I like the idea for battlers though it reminds me a lot of "Mochiron's Sozai Battlers".

keep it up and I hope to see you improve.

.....Moachiron? Who the heck is that? Yea they were quickly made, like..30 minutes tops (Since I do everything on separate layers) I have since worked on them more, and made them bigger, those ones were more like...thumbnails really, not the big picture but a rough idea.

I'm also getting a week off next week...so I might work on them and put more up, but I have them .rar (Since I feel it'd be a long while before I take them out again and dont want to be wasting space(On a lapytopy))

Also thanks for everyone input.
