side view battle

ok. those crappy battle character pictures suck! does anyone know how to change the battle into a sideview stlye with your characters displayed as little sprites w/attacks and all that? AKA Final fantasy snes style. I was told somehow you can do it changing the script a lil bit so if someone can tell me how to do it i would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

A little bit? That's one of the greatest lines i have ever heard...

Doing this is rather complicated and requires a good scripter. At least if you want something good.

Look in the scripts section and search for >>Minkoff's animated battlers<< by Der VVulfman. It is a massive Sideview Battler Script, that can deal lots of things like 11 poses for each battler, rushing towards the enemy or just stand on spot depending on weapon or skill, and many more features.

Only thing you will need are sideview battlers. If you are using RTP-Battlers you should look for Green Raven's those are great.

So, you've included all necessary scripts? Try uploading a tech demo of your game(Nothing important except the scripts). It'd be easier to help you out that way.

Well, given that I wanted to check for the whole thing and see if you had any interfering scripts, that wouldn't help too much. I'd recommend a free host like box.net. (You have to register, but it's free, so no big deal)
