side view battle system with movement

i would apreciate it if someone could make a script were there is a side view for the battle system and the players when casting a spell or using an item and attacking would take a step forward (or two) but i dont want them to walk up to the monster to hit

if someone could make that it would be great or if there is a script that someone knows of THAT WORKS ;D, could you please post it here?!

i have found some but in Japanese and dont work
