show animation (Solved)

I have a police officer looking for 5 warrents he droped around town

what i need help with is. I want this officer to be walking back and forth with the Question mark poping up over his head from time to time, to let the player know he is in need of help


I can't figure out how to get the officer walking back and forth with the question mark showing




and when u go up to him and click him he will then tell you he lost his warrents and would love u to try and find them

Set the automonous movement of that officer to custom.
There fill in the move route you already made and it should work just fine.

Just saw that you can't show an animation from the custom movement screen.
Something else you can try is this:

First make a custom move route by setting the automonous movement to custom.

Then make a second event, a parrallel process, to show the question mark.

That way it should work.
 
ok i kinda understand how to get the question mark to show,

but when i put on parrallel process it automatically goes to my second event tab

I got the emtion to show on my officer how do I make it.. so that when i click on the officer he then changes what he says to ''can u help me find my warrent


I can't figure out how to use an action on the officer while the emtion of the question mark is over his head, while he is walking back and forth, looking like he lost something.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, is your problem that you can't talk to the event while it's walking around?
Because if it is, that shouldn't be a problem, just give it some text and it will say it once you talk to it, even though it has a custom move route.
 
Hey I was able to figure it out with your guys help it works great now


do I have to use a switch to turn off the event that is causeing the animation of the question mark over my officer?


because after I complete the quest the animation is still showing, im not sure how to turn it off without wasteing a switch condition


but ty for your replies i got it fixed other then this small problem
