Heres a little something I had floating around in my head and thought would be something new to chat on. Ok so for a while now, as I'm sure we all know, fast food resteraunts have started to bring in the whole healthy menu, you know, greens and beans. I just wondered what everyones opinion was on the matter. Do you think its great to see these places encourage there customers eat healthier? Or do do you like the fact that your favourite fast food joint can be associated with a nice juicy and greasy piece of meat?
Now when I first started thinking about this my initial though was, "What the fuck? It's a fast food place, keep it to what it is and what it knows". Before all these salads, and grilled chicken sadnwhiches were introduced I viewed fast food resteraunts as a place that served something quick, cheap and greasy and that appealed to me.
But the more I think about it, it's great that they serve things such as salads now. Personally I'd never touch them, I'm not that much of a greens eater. Still, for the person that is, McDonalds could provide a salad just as tasty as anywhere else, and likely cheaper. So I guess the introduction of healthier fast food may be a litter easier on the wallet.
Also a typical fast food meal provides enough calories and fat for your entire day. One in four Americans eats fast food everyday. So, if that one American is open to the idea of salad, maybe it'll just help that curvy figure too.
So, what do you think about having healthy eating in fast food resteraunts? To sum, I think it's great for those who are going to enjoy it, but personally I like going there for the grease.
