Shaded Head image I made

Sorry I didnt do a face to her but I cant really get a good concept on it :[

Sorry to be negative, but it's horrible, the face, you can't even tell has been shaded, the hair just looks like a smooth gradient, and the red clothing, it makes her body look like a blob.

Please don't use gradients THEY SUCK, and make the shading on the face darker so it stands out.
