Seprate Events Working Together?

How do I make events work together like this

You walk over Event001
Then Event002(Tom) will look at you and say, whos there!
Then it will wait for 20frames, then Tom will just say, oh well and go back to what he was doing
Then you walk closer and step on Event003 and Tom looks at you and says, You there, prepare to battle, and you go into battle phase.

Anyway, how do you get seprate events to work together?
 
well, somehow you already answered your question partially. You use the wait for command. But how do you activate it? You just need a switch or a conditional branch. Maybe both of them.
 
the event1 will be player touch and it'll turn on a switch which activates a page of event 2 which is autorun and says your dialouge and afterwards it turns on another switch to deactivate it and then you hit the next event etc etc.
Get what to do now?
