Scroll map question

Hi, got a question. How can I prevent player movement while executing a "Scroll Map" event? The problem being that I want to scroll to an area on the map and then scroll back, but while the map is scrolling back to its original position it is possible for the player to have walked off the map (can't see himself on the screen).

Have a Set Move Route, check "Repeat Action" and have the player "Wait 1 frame(s)". Then when you know the transition/scrolling is over make another Set Move Route feeding it no arguments.

I see, so you pretty much have to know how many frames the scrolling takes. Okay, I just did it with a Set Move Route waiting the approximate # of frames, and a Wait For Move's Completion.

I'm not sure if we understand each other so I'll clarify I apologize if I'm being redundant. What I suggested basically stalls the player so he can't do anything. Including move which would interrupt screen scrolling to a location you want. Then when the scrolling is over you cancel the stall by giving the player another move route which does nothing. This move route will replace the old one so the player can move again.
