Short Description:

In Velotar, you don't have a goal. You just go around doing stuff. Sell crack, perform various tasks for your friends, and use the FLUE Network. The FLUE network is located in every fireplace, and there are 4 locations.

G-force: Designer / Mapper / Concept
Ngearo: Designer / Enhancer
You: Player / Criticizer

Characters:

Samba Pamba: A panda. Or a man wearing a panda-looking mask... He used to live with his mom, but now he's moved out into his own village, his house surrounded by cows. He is famous for his Samba Pamba dance.

Pete (The BULGARRRRR!): Pete is a man. When he's angry he's like an ogre. He likes to bulge. Bulging is his thing. He is very brutal, he likes killing things and defending his friends.

Pat: Pat is weird. His name is Pat, because he likes to pat poo. He has a poo patting sword, poo patting gloves, and poo patting pants. He is so weak... for a while.

???: This character is unclassified.

Mom: Samba Pamba's mom. She's always obsessing for you to go to school, even after you graduate.

Important Information you NEED to Know:

To play the game, you will NEED to use the fireplaces to warp through the FLUE network, and talk to all the NPCs you can find. They give you hints you may need to remember to get far into the game.

I understand this is like some sort of "Gang game" but it still needs some sort of prologue on the F.L.U.E.
You will need to show scripts and stuff.
The characters don't have enough info.
And your mapping sucks. Add some trees and plants.

I will post a encrypted version so that people dont steal ur game (or sprites.)
 
Thanks for being so nice about it. Also, a lot of the information you would need to know isn't included in this version (due to laziness) so yeah.
Also, what do you mean show scripts?
The characters actually each have an individual unrelated story which are really weird, I might post those.
The mapping isn't all mine :( The slightly good ones are mine but I'm only decent at mapping in XP.

...and I'll post an unencrypted version tomorrow.

I know the maps are dull (they're a work in progress), and I've already told the spriter to work on the sprites, but I don't know why when I can do a much better (and faster) job myself... Thanks for posting!

FLUE is taken straight from Harry Potter lol
Be more original! Keep the fireplaces but call it something different like, the Saint-Nick-Networks (SNN for short!)

I never realized that! (I'm not much of a Harry Potter fan) I'll have to change it, it won't be fireplaces anymore.
 
You released the demo way too early, it's short and very much looking like early development stage, where one tests out events and figures out how to use the map editor. You should improve your maps before releasing a demo, not afterwards, and put more life in the game before.
Don't say "It's all still underconstruction", for a demo you usually release what is finished and working.
 
Well, for that image, the colours are off-balanced from the actual character. I personally don't like it a lot, but the other people who made this game with me do... Maybe if you make the area around the eyes more black and the face whiter.

and I only submitted it here, NOT FOR SHOWCASE, but completely for help. If it weren't for you I would have stuck with FLUE and not even realized that it wasn't original.

The picture is supposed to be like that. Its in a darkroom with a dimlight on the panda's face.
 
Oh, ok. Thanks! We might use it for the titlescreen, but we also have something else in mind. We'll see which one we like best.
 
Why?  I didn't see the guy ask you to make him one.  Get off your high horse, it isn't a good title screen.  If you'd like to know why it's because of the horrible obviousness of the filters used and unnecessary use of it to boot.  The text lays over the image horribly.  Quite simply don't TELL people what do in their projects, especially considering you don't seem to have any particular talent for game making yourself.

Also, don't be a fool, leaving a tiny demo with scarcely any original resources in it is not a problem to leave unencrypted, who cares?  Nobody is going to steal it.

I have no issue with you helping people but you have a clear and unfounded arrogance and believe me when I say, there are a LOT of people here far more skilled than you are.

On feedback for the actual game I would actually bother right now but it seems that it is a test / joke with vx so I shan't bother.  I don't know what your intentions are or whether you are serious at all with this.  If you are, immature humor can be funny but I very much doubt that it will in this instance.

2: I think he should go too. Only thing is that character design wasn't me, it was Ngearo, and he's a little weird that way... By the way he was the one who loved the TitleScreen. I can get him to post soon...
 
Seems like it could be fun in a weird sort of way, but it keeps crashing on my computer for some reason. Anyway, the top of the roof on the church-looking building shouldn't be straight all the way across since part of it's on a different level. Also, the door of the first building in the second area doesn't go anywhere but you probably just haven't added it yet. I'll try to get further into it later, so I should have more to say then.

He makes the story less fun and the game very childish. Nobody is going to play a game where you use a piece of shit as a sword! (Yes, I have the unencrypted version, and yes there is a shit sword -- Don't try to hide your way out of this). Work on the story bit
