Saga of the Clans I - The Vampire Lord

I'm teaming up with "Seraphim Creations" and the game will be part of the "Kingdom" series.

Disclaimer: All the custom graphics apart from the stock RTP and the character portraits are provided and made by Seraphim Creations. We own all the required rights to use them for the various game projects, commercial or not.

-Revamping the Game!-

Requires RPG Maker VX Ace's Run-time files to run (pun intended).

Feedback is a really welcomed around here. :)

What?
On a distant land, far far away...

Okami Hyou leads her party of greedy troublemakers,
in promise of gold and other riches, or maybe she
is just the greedy one.

Then there is Mahou the Mage, providing insightful
information for the rest of the party.

Kitsune is just mostly hanging around and quite
useful during the combat.

They was tasked by the king to bring him some dusty
old artifact and now Okami Hyou is eager to collect
her just reward.

Keep reading the storyline if you want a spoilers or just play the game.

Things however didn't go so smoothly and the king refused to pay the reward and instead gave them another task.
Task which would take then to Cave of Frost and bring meat for the banquet, but their story does not end there,
not a long shot. At that point Okami Hyou is too fed up to trust the king's "maybe I reward you well" deal and top
of that King still has the artifact or has he?.

When?
Our adventurers begin their journey from the time, when they have finally obtained the artifact which the king wants
and are eager to cash in their weight of gold. However a dark clouds are looming the fact that it can't be that easy
to just end the story there. OF course not.

Who?
Okami Hyou
Chi Tsugi clan was not fond of her greedy nature and decided to put her charge of the group of
consisting members from the two other dominant clans so she would see the world and maybe learn something from it.
Her companion consist of the long time friends from the two other clans.

Likes
- Gold.
- Shiny Stuff.
- Make a quick buck.

Dislikes
- Deal Breakers.

Mahou
Yami Tsugi clan has had a long tradition to fight various beasts to obtain even more power. Still they
understand the value of being in the alliance. However Mahou would probably backstab her party if it meant to obtaining
the ultimate power, not that such thing even exists around in the Krateria.

Likes
- Spell Pistols.
- Magical stuff.

Dislikes
- Ghosts.
- Undead.
- Murky places.

Kitsune
Rai Tsugi clan consist some of the best martial artists in the Krateria. Kitsune was send off to hone
her skills and someday to challenge her old master. Also she wonders reason of this task, as slaughering countless monsters
is honing her skills well. Basically she does not understand her old master.

Likes
- Being smartass.
- Being sarcsatic.
- Making fun of Okami Hyou.

Dislikes
- fools.
- Chocolate.
- Guys with the god complex.

Vampire Lord

Villain of the story. Telling too much about him would be a bit too spoilerish.

Features!
Synthesize your items from crafting materials you can obtain from defeating various enemies.
Battle system which does not look dull.
Day/Night Cycles.
More realistic lightning.

Progress
Game is still a under development but is already long and has a proper albeit temporal ending.

v1.01 - Fixed few bridges.
v1.01d - Additional polishing.
v1.01f - Polished some more. For example Evil Forest's first structure can now be entered to.
v1.02 - Villain got portrait and more story development.
v1.02a - Vampire Lord no longer need to be defeated at the certain point to proceed.
v1.3b - Vampstle is now filled with troops.

Known Issues
Besides tuning the balance a bit, nothing major.
 
Bugs:
Examining the well in town gives a divided by Zero error and crashes the game.
Revive Potion doesn't revive.
Paralyze only targets 1 enemy even though it says all.

The battles were annoying and pointless since it isn't balanced. I just escaped from every battle and during boss fights used Stun every other turn. I quit after the tower. 1hour 20mins.

Problem with combat that it is quite subjective. Some like being greatly rewarded from playing "smart". It is not until Evil Forest area where I expect that player knows what he is doing during the various combat situations. However I can see how bosses should not be just stomped like the regular mobs and should hit like a truck.

Haha.. just seen ur pics.. U might want to work on your spell/grammar checkin,
the first picture you say "since when you have had a comman sense?" that should
actually be "Since when have YOU had a comman sense?" emphasis on the "you"
making it capitals makes it seem that the person is being sarcastic in his voice as
you read it rather than not in capitals which makes it just sound boring as you read
it.
Interesting maps though.
 
V1.04 is out.

- Even more detailed maps.
- Weapon system was revamped to have more interesting stats (Weapon damage was turned to percentage increases and are able to inflict various status ailments.)
- Shop has been improved further, no longer just the one long list of stuff you can buy.
- Tuned encounter rates.
- I did some more proofreading.
- When you come out from the Ruined Tower, you don't get to fight level 3 Slimes anymore in the overworld map.
- More areas to see in the world map where you can't go, to make it look a more realistic world (Krateria is not supposed to be a small island nation, but instead of huge one).
- More NPC guys in the dangerous areas, supplying you with the lore. This means that when you go to various dungeons, it just makes sense that other Adventurers might already be there.
- You can now teleport out from the Ruined Tower, once beaten.
- Evil Forest demands rain and it shall have it.
- Shop that sells you the crafting materials if the RNG hates you that much.
- More items, including an items which can be used offensively during the combat.
 
Long last we have a another update to shred some light of what is going on with the game.

One of the most notable changes is the story text change, it is now in a more proper/readable english. I will make this Kingdom game my next success just like all my other projects!

I have no idea what 'Lato' is...

Not much detail has been given about this game; how much is being remade?
Looking at the screenshots posted above, it looks like something I would hold interest in, but if it's changing from that~...

I hope this isn't an indication of the 'proper' English, considering all the highlights in that paragraph. ;)
I kid though, since I don't have much else to work off of :p
