Just wondering... have you REALLY played Sacred 2, or did you just watch someone play it for an hour or two ?
the graphics aren't cartoony they're just very colourful, and I think Ascaron did a good job with 'em to be honest, especially considering the camera angle you're at, so it doesn't have to look perfect. The voice acting COULD be better, but come on, some of the quotes are bloody epic, lol. A large map is always better than a small cramped map, especially since there's so many places to explore, it gives the game a feel of adventure, and also there's the minibosses to go look for, lol.
Actually with a mount, yeah, the normal mounts you can't use your skills, but it's sort of common sense, if you could use skills on WoW while mounted, you'd be overpowered to fuck... and if you want to use skills while mounted on Sacred 2, you can go to Orcish Byway, talk to the person wit the big beam of light coming from him/her, and do the mount quest, giving you your class/special mount, which runs faster, and allows you to use skills on it anyway.
You say there's low strategy needed to play the game, the way I figure it, there is... especially if you're partying with someone... if there's a group of enemies, half are ranged, half are melee, the melee of you two takes out the melee enemies, while the ranged/magic takes out the ranged enemies... if there's too many enemies, you avoid them... if you're fighting elementals, you use weapons/magics that deal damage of the opposite element to do more damage, these are all strategies just so you know... And besides, the game wasn't meant to be strategic anyway, but there's a damn lot more strategy right there than in Diablo II. Besides, can we stop with Diablo II, everyone compares this game to it so much, just because it has its similarities...
And that's just one of my many backup statements...
