rvdata format

I'm not sure whether I post the right place, but I wish to inquire on where shall I start if I want to create a program which can read the rvdata format (or is it a legal thing, or not). The program would tell me the main actor of a project, that's all. I would require it for a project organiser, which would be used only by me.

Thanks for your efforts.

rvdata is just a file containing RPG module objects serialized by Ruby's Marshal class.  If you have Ruby (and the class/module code that will be reconstructed), you can read and write to rvdata as you see fit.

Thanks, I've found it in Ruby's reference manual, and also the RPG Maker VX help file contains the code of the RPG module, so I could do it in Ruby, but I have to output things in my own format and read it from VB or C++ if I want to program the organiser itself in VB or C++. Actually, I've found Ruby's source code on the official site, but still it would be much work to make it alive.
