INTRODUCTION

Runners is yet another project by me. Please take note that this project is NOT a game but an episodic show same as Domain: Virtual Takeover or Akasha Seal. I know that some of you didn't really like this concept, but I know some who do. Don't worry, just stay tune as I already planned of some tie-in and minigames that will keep you interact along with the series. Without further ado, let me introduce you to Runners.


SUMMARY

3 college prankster, Derryl, Reese and Arsene are approaching their years of graduation in Algrade College. And they are planning to pull off a giant pranks before leaving their "paradise" life as a student and separate in their own ways. Unknown, to Derryl and Reese, Arsene is also panning on more gigantic "pranks" that will lead the three boys on a thrilling, dangerous and heart crunching journey across the country.

Derryl Gage, 24
A Chemical Engineering student in Algrade College. Together with Arsene and Reese, the trio makes a perfect combination of prankster. Derryl is hard-headed and outspoken but can be prove useful and loyal friend in need.

Reese Wilker, 24
This white-haired boy was born in south town of Corvina. His Security Engineering study proves useful to the trio for pulling their giant prank. Often oblivious, Reese is the the comic relief of the trio.

Arsene Ulrich, 25
Top student in his class, Arsene is a talented Structural Engineer. Also the mastermind of their giant pranks. Not much of a talkative person, Arsene always think before act that makes him the head figure of the trio.

Captain Morrow Wegan, 35
From the State Police Department. Morrow is responsible for the case of the State Archive bombing. Intelligent and tactican Morrow proves to be a strong contestants for the trio in their cat and mouse game.

Derryl, Arsene, and Reese plan on bombing the State Archive for their giant pranks. Things get awfuly wrong for Derryl and Reese as their plan isn't working too well...

I want to view the episode, but it's not letting me download the full file or something. It says it's an unknown file type, and it doesn't even have a file type when it's downloaded. =O


Ah, I figured out how to fix the problem, after the file is downloaded, you have to change the ending of the file to .exe to make it work. You might want to fix this problem Impreza. I only figured it out because I'm smart :P

Error list I found. I just want you to fix the errors before other people find them =)

1: You can open the menu in the title and the scene selector. I'll keep updating as I start to watch.

2: Just in my opinion, slow down the text a bit. I know I'm not good at that myself with Domain, but it seemed a tad too fast. If you miss reading a part, you miss the whole thing.

3: The only other thing that bugged me was the loop of the crickets inside the state building. They would chirp, then stop, then chirp then stop. Try and find a continuous loop that they don't stop chirping, and lower the volume on it a bit. They were chirping really loudly for being inside a building.

Alright, no other major technical errors for the first episode. Though I need to say there were soo many gramatical erros it disturbed me. In my opinion you should let someone edit the grammer on your episodes before you release them. Just my opinion though. Other than that, very interesting story, and good first episode.

I don't know what to think of this right now. I'll ignore the grammatical errors that speedpaws mentioned. The setting throws me off. Are you using substitute graphics right now for the Police and Wagon? I'm mean there knights with guns and a wagon in a world with security cameras and bombs.

@Speeds: Thanks for reporting the error. It's fixed and will be upload.

@Coyotecraft: Put some realistic aside. It's not like it's set in modern California or something. It's in it's own time and setting. Bombs aren't modern weapon. It's exist way back before World War 2 or maybe even before that. I will put some additional infos in the first post to clarify about the settings. Thanks though for pointing that out.

The download link has been fixed. Major bugs and grammatical error has been corrected and will run with no problems. Just for some information, episode 2 currently in development and coming nicely. Expect Episode 2 in next week!

I think should look at some of the speech, real people don't call their friends by their name every sentence.

That wasn't from the episode, that was a little improv. 

but look at your sentences and say them aloud and make sure it sounds like a real convo

I tried the demo. The maps were pretty impressive, but there are some things you might want to work on.

As some people might've stated before, you need some work on your grammar and spelling. Also, the text speed is too slow for me. You should at least have an option of speeding it up, since the music isn't perfectly synchronized to the text anyway.

As for the cutscenes, I think it went altogether a bit slow. The computer recording of the three boys was a nice touch, but too repetitive, since you'd already seen it once. Another example is when one of the boys trips over a rock; the guards just stand there for eternity, listening to the two runners' conversations until Jane gets there.

Good work so far. I like the storyline, although why the students would be stupid enough to blow up a state archive escapes me. Keep it up, you've got a nice start here for one of the only episodic movies I've seen on this forum.
