ruby help required

i downloaded ruby i save the file to my documents and it came up a bunch of files which do i have to use so that it will install itself

RGSS is done within either RPG Maker XP or RPG Maker VX. There is a button with a paper icon in the bar at the top. Click on it to open up your scripting interface.

Oh, and this belongs in RGSS/RGSS2 General Support. Reported for a move.

ok then thnx and eh.... yeah isorta noticed i placed it in thewrng sector after i posted xD

edit: wat a sec are you telling me were to script if so i already knew that if not then are you saying that i open it and i can use ruby from there if so how none of those displayed install ruby icons came up?

edit2: probably never made ths clear enough at first...sigh.... i wanna know what could be wrong with ruby so that i can get it working so that i can make my own scripts. :lol:

Do you want to install the Ruby binaries? Ruby doesn't need to be installed to script in either RMXP/RMVX. They both have built in editors and debuggers.

However if the question was how about installing Ruby.

Download the ruby186-26.exe and run that. It will automatically install no need for cygwin or anything else.

Its the exact site I learned how to mess around with SciTE.
