RPG Maker XP Problems (again...)

Yeah, it was working okay on the first load. Then when I loaded the software again, it just freezes. Goes dead blank, won't respond. Now everytime I do that, RPGMaker XP will not load at all, it gets to the loading opening, and freezes.

I have all the system requirements, I am running Windows XP.

What is going wrong, how can I stop it being all frozen and irresponsive.

Have your tried reinstalling it? Make sure you have the right version, or perhaps a legal version? If none of these work it may be something other than the program.

Yeah, I've tried all of those. It is the legal version.
But my brother who owned this computer before me had RPGMaker XP PKE, maybe that's logged something into my PC to prevent the usage of the normal one?

I don't know anymore.

restart your computer. My grandparents would play games (Pop cap games or something) and then i would try to start it and it wouldn't work...I think...It stopped doing it after awhile.

Yeah, I've tried that too. 5th restart, nada. I need a new PC  :dead:

Go to the folder that contains your program and PM me the names of all the files. Not the ones in the system folders or anything, just the ones you see immediately.
You might have a critical file missing.
