RPG Maker Transfer [RESOLVED]

I purchased a new laptop and want to get RPG Maker on to it, but..
It says the activation code is invalid, and when I enter the serial code to generate one it says it's already in use.
So, I figure that's the reason the activation code doesn't work either.
Does anyone know how I can get it on to here?

I'm having the same problem. I see resolved by your post but I couldn't find where anyone helped you. I had to do a clean install of Windows XP, with service pack 2. When I tried to activate RPG Maker XP, Protexis says my serial number is already in use. Can someone explain how I can get an activation key?
