Truth: Any RPG Maker on a console system is utter shit.
Not true. RPGM3 may not be very flexible, but RPGM1 and 2 have a lot more customizablity, with 2 being the best. RPGM2 actually used to be my primary maker of choice (and it still happens to be one of my favorites). It may not have the prettiest graphics, but what it lacks in eye candy, it makes up in power. Check out these videoes of a game by a Japanese dude. The name of his game is License Hunter:

Pretty impressive, huh? You can do almost anything that can be done with RPGMXP/VX technical-wise, only the scripting in RPGM2 is a lot easier (don't get me wrong; it's still pretty hard to learn, but once you get the hang of it, you'll see all kinds of different possibilities). I'm not saying that it's better than XP/VX (you don't have arrays/hashes or anything like that, though there are tricks that I've used to get around that), but it's still a very impressive tool. :thumb:
