RGSS player crashing

This may be a stupid question.

When I try to test the game, the RGSS player crashes.  I tried compiling a gamedisk, but that didn't seem to help.  Also, my help file is all in Japanese, so I can't get help form there.  How do I get it working?

What is your operating system? Are you using Vista? And do you have any custom scripts? What kind of crash?

If your help file is japanese, I'm thinkin' you stole the program from the poor starving children at Enterbrain.

Hmm, I paid for it.  It says it's a legal copy.

Yes I'm using Vista, no scripts, I literally just started.  And I don't know what sort of crash it just says it's stopped working :s
