Hello, I'm Kylock!
Also known as leisuree on a few other forums.
I've been making games on and off since RM95... didn't really get involved in the communities till a couple years ago, I lurked on here at .net and at creative asylum. In that time, I learned some ruby/rgss and developed one significant script, the infamous Kylock's Time System (aka KTS). So in that regard I'd consider myself a scripter more than anything else. I call my sole script infamous because it simply must be, it seems that people still use it and it hasn't seen an update in about 2 years :D
I really am a poor spriter, although I can do easy edits and recolors/formatting. I really have no artistic ambition, so I'll rely on the community for that!
I've returned to the community now because as an IT professional, I felt it was important to learn Vista, so I use it on my main PC. The english version of RMVX was recently launched and RMVX runs flawlessly on Vista, whereas RMXP does not. That should be enough about that =p
As far as me personally, I'm a single white guy. I'm probably going to be one of the older members on the forum so far as age is concerned *gasp*, I'm in the US Army National Guard and I speak Chinese (Mandarin). I used to be able to claim to read and write, but I haven't had good practice in the past few years. I know several programming languages, and am still learning RUBY/RGSS. I can figure most things out, it just takes me longer than other, more experienced, scripters. I watch tons of movies, but not so much TV anymore. I guess all I watch these days is comedy central at night to catch the Daily Show and the Colbert Report - but I usually just DVR em and watch em whenever I find the time =p As far as music, I like most types of rock and metal. At the moment, I find myself listening mostly to a band called Sentenced. I like anime, but I tend not to talk about it much. I do play World of Warcraft on and off, and I have 2 70's.
Since returning to the community, I've been hanging out in IRC - its pretty fun, but sometimes creepy
There's some good peoples there as well as some weird peoples. Anyway, more people should come and talk to us, so scroll up and hit "Chat Now" you noobs!
That's it. At least for now, if I think of anything else, I may or may not add it if I think to update this later =p I'm generally pretty lazy and I tend to shy away from hard work. Therefore, I have no completed game projects!
