Demo 1.12 is the current demo. If you have an older version of the demo you can download the new version and copy you save from the old one (as long as it doesn't get you stuck at least)

I am currently doing a complete redo of the intro of the game. The intro of the game will have more History of the Kingdom of Ellid involved and better maps. I will release it in a 1.2 Demo as soon as it is finished and has been tested.
Here are some screenshots of some of the new maps.

The world is in peace under the mighty nation of Ellid. Everything is peaceful, no one is at war and the only thing anyone has to worry about is the common theif. All was well until... it happened. During the night the great castle of Ellid was attacked by an unknown enemy. The prince and princess where woken by their mother and to the sounds of boulders being shot out of catapults and through the walls of the castle. They were forced to flee the castle and leave the only home they ever knew. The next morning they explained their story to a wise old women in a nearby village. When she heard their story she knew there was much more at stake than the Kingdom of Ellid... The whole world was at risk... all they knew and loved could just disappear, into a Restless Night...

[Characters]
[Prince of Ellid]
A swordsman in training who gets his inspiration from his father who died in combat. He seeks to become great like his father and reclaim the throne when the time is right in the name of his father. On one fateful night, he was awoken by his mother and the sound of boulders and explosions blasting through the castles walls. The Prince is set out on a journey to do whatever he can to save the world and his kingdom.

[Lucrie, Princess of Ellid]
Lucrie is the youngest child of Queen Alexandria and King Herald. She loved both her parents and followed the way of her mother in the ways of magic and father in the ways of the sword. She is strong but is still young and takes very little things seriously, until that is, the last day she saw her beloved castle before setting out to save it and the world.

[Queen Alexandria]
The Queen was left to rule the great kingdom of Ellid after the great King Herald passed away from a battle wound. She cares deeply for her two children as they are the only family she still has left. After the attack she was considered dead.

[Barak, The Swordsman]
Barak was a personal friend of King Herald and was the next best swordsman in the land compared to him. After the death of King Herald Barak become the teacher of both the Prince and Lucrie in the ways of the sword.

[The Unknown Attackers]
The attackers appeared one night quickly and without a trace of where they came from. They attacked the great castle of Ellid and took it in one night. [Other Comments]
Comment and let me know when you beat the demo, and give me the total playtime (Just look at the playtime on the save)
Lemme know of any bugs, typos, or other problems you find.
Constructive criticism only, if you don't like something, tell me and let me know what I could do to better it.

As the game develops more information will be posted.

Your mapping is horrible, the fights are dull and waaaaaaay to easy (I one-hit-KO'd Barak). And so far te story looks very generic en dull to. I think I also came across a bug. After you fight Barak that girl says you have to return to your mother. But on the way there, you are prohibited to go back because "you have to find the treasure!". No idea where that came from...
I hope this projects is meant to learn about rmxp, because it needs a lot of work.

Yes I agree my early maps are pretty terrible :( I will get to remaking the beginning at some point. Barak is supposed to be pretty easy but I agree I should up the difficulty in that a bit too.
When it comes to the part where you have to find the treasure you will see there is a room that has a treasure chest. When you open it you get a Shovel, and Barak's journal. When you read the second entry of his journal it will give a clue about where he has his treasure hidden in the garden.
Later on the fights balance out and get harder. And my mapping improves. But yes I will get to redoing the "Intro" part of the game at some point, hopefully pretty soon. I hope this helps, if not just let me know. And thanks for not just strait out yelling "this sucks, go die" or something along the lines.
And about the story line. It does seem a little cliche, and dull, but only for the first half of the story. I already thought out and have written out the complete story and I've planned some twists and turns and plenty of things that will make the story more interesting (side quests and mini-games that are just for plain fun or will reveal lore or history of the world in the past)
Like I said it is still a work in progress and will have room for improvement but I'm working and it will be better.

New Demo is released. Check Version Release history for list of changes.

I forgot to say something positive the last time. The digging mini game is kinda fun. Reminds me of Pokémon's item finder. Try to make that minigame as fun and functional as possible ;)
Has the new version improved maps?

I am still re-doing the maps and the intro of the game. I'm planning on making the intro a bit longer and making it so you can actually explore the castle and part of the town before having to leave. The main portion of the castle is almost done but I need to make the side rooms and the actual city. I posted some screenies of the new maps.

The part of the story I've released so far is pretty cliche but because I don't want to spoil the rest of the story (The parts that aren't cliche or dull :P) I haven't released. I want people to actually play the game to learn the story, not just read a thread that explains the game. That's just my opinion (and me being the maker of the game and thread its my decision) and I will stand with it. But yes thanks for the compliments :D. I am working on a lot of the beginning maps (and have screenshots to show my progress.)

Thanks :P I'm planning on having an actual mini-game based around this. I'll have an area where you have to pay to get in and you will have a limited amount of time to dig up a relic. The more rare the relic is, the greater the prize will be.
And on top of that I'm going to plan on having a treasure hunt type thing. You will get a clue to where the treasure is and you have to go and dig it up. Each treasure would lead to another, leading on to a "Ultimate Treasure". It's the features like these that I'm going to put in the game that I would hope would make it different than alot of the other rmxp games out there.
If you have any other possible ideas for mini-games lemme know, and If I do use one of you ideas I will credit you for it (unless I came up with it before you did :O lol)

The intro is almost done, I have the basic parts of the maps done but I still need to add more events (people, wildlife, etc.) I would say I'm about 70-80%. I will upload the new demo when it is done.

I'm sorry this is taking so long :O I've just been trying to balance this between school and friends and other important stuff :/
