Restless in G Minor

This was written as a request. It's a boss battle theme using orchestral instruments as well as rock instruments (guitars and percussion) and some synth. It?s dark, fast, and is along the lines of orchestral rock. It'd been a while since I wrote a piece when I wrote this one. It was inspired by a few pieces in FF7 Advent Children. The percussion, as it turns out, doesn't have as much bass to it as I thought it did.

It's a very interesting, multi-layered piece. I'm not totally loving the tinny noise of the guitar (sounds very synth, dunno if that's the intention), but I like every song you make :')

I'm usually not very good with guitars... I can never seem to get the full sound that I crave. lol I'm sure that eventually I'll find the right combination of things to make the guitar sound more realistic.

Definitely not of your usual compositions. This is a rather interesting mixture, but I can't say whether I'm pro or con. It's a bit overwhelming. I can't quite put my finger on what you could add/remove.

Well, my request pieces are never quite the same as the pieces I write for pleasure. This particular requester was actually so particular that he specified the octave he wanted the piano played in. lol

But yeah, that's probably why it doesn't sound like my usual pieces. That and I haven't written in a while.

Kind of reminds me of battling Mephalis in Sonic the Hedghog a little (i'm sorry i bothered with that game but i love my sonic and keep hoping that somday i'll be able to reclaim the memory of what now seems lost..) ... The xylophone is different but i think it feels a little TOO out of the ordinary in spots.
