Resizing your shapes in Photoshop?

ok i tried looking in the help files and on the net but I am apparently doing something wrong, I am trying to put a ellipse shape into my project but I want to make the dimensions 200x200 but I cannot find out how to customize the size once the shape has been made. Theres a free transform tool, I know! but I need to know the dimensions of the shape not best guess it. how do I check and edit the dimensions of shapes and pictures?
(Also I have tried going to Image-Image Size but all that does is resize the canvas every time.)

Simple, Make a new file 200x200 pixels and then draw your shape to fill all the possible space, then flatten the image. After use the magic want tool to select your shape and press control + C to copy. Go back to your first project and press control+v to paste and you got your 200x200 shape.
