Resizing tiles

Basically I'm making a game with an 8x8 tile resolution, but XP only allows 32x32 tiles. Is there any way to change this or do I have to pile up the tiles to make the whole thing compatible?

Let's see... insanely complicated script, or just live with it.  Those are your choices, I think, because the maker itself uses 32x32 tiles, and you can't really edit RMXP itself.

Are you sure that's what they did?  The tiles I saw in use there could have all been 32x32, from what I saw.

...Then again, in theory, a script can change it.  It's just going to be a lot of trouble, since the maker software uses 32x32, and you can't script that.

Personally, I'd say forget it. Your only other option like stated before would be to get a crazy script. IF you want that crazy script, however, I bet that seph could get/make it for you ( one of the scripting gods of this site...).

Actually, it isn't all that difficult. All you need is SephirothSpawn's tilemap script, as well as some choice edits to the Game_Map, Game_Character, Game_Player, Sprite_Character, and Spriteset_Map classes. All you really do in the classes I mentioned is change some numbers and add a couple lines to zoom the sprites out. It's not that hard to do, if you knwo how the numbers are used in player movement.
