Well, the title basically says it all. What I want is something similar to Mr.Mo's Interactive Mouse System:

But without having to have the player move to the event to trigger it. To put it simply, I want a script that just activates an event upon clicking it rather than having the player run to it so it starts. The way I see it, it seems that the only way to achieve this is to make the player the mouse cursor itself but that's where I run into trouble.
So can anyone please do this? I've already attempted this myself and I'm ashamed to say, but since I'm no scripter, I'm limited on what I can do.
