Idea/Request for "Rentation Skill System"
Hi there.
I was wondering if there was any script that allows you to EQUIP skills to an actor and their weapons/armor/accesories
There are, say, ten skill slots for an Actor, and 5 slots for all main-hand weapons, 4 slots for all off-hand weapons, 2 slots for helmets/headgear, 3 for bodygear and 3 slots for accesories (aka: rings, necklaces, etc...). So skills can be equipped/unequiped through either a command in the menu, or a ''call script'' somewhere else, like a savepoint.
EXAMPLE FOR EQUIPMENT: The player equips the skill ''Fireball'' to the weapon ''Sword''. The player then equips "Sword'' onto an actor, thereby granting that actor the skill ''Fireball".
Later on, the player un-equips the "Sword" so the actor now loses the skill "Fireball" (but "Sword" still has "Fireball" equipped to it). The pattern would be the same for armor and everything.
EXAMPLE FOR ACTOR: The actual actor has a "Skill slot thing" of his/her own. Ten skill-slots for the actor. The only difference is that these skills will stay on the actor unless they are removed manually.
This would be a good system because the player because it would add a lot of customization into a game.
The player could add ten of their favourite skills to the actor's ten skills slots, then add more skills to other weapons. This way, when you want to switch you're equipment, you'll noticably gain new skills.
Hopefully you all could understand that.
Have a nice day.
