you know , sweatdrop , being startled and the like

Are you talking about an animation? If so I just did this if you want it...otherwise you may want to consider going in a little bit more detail on what your emoticons are going to be used for...(i.e. text, face graphics...ect..)

EDIT: The startled animation is already built into the RMXP engine...

1. Go into your project file
2. Tools > Database > Animations Tabby > 098 Exclamation

I obviously did the same thing like Wings, here ya go ... A simple replacement for the ? Animation (you can just copy it, use my animation and delete the sound to be fine :P )
