History
It all began in the land of Rensai. Over two hundred years ago a comet struck the earth and shattered into many pieces. These pieces flew in different directions across Rensai, most were lost but a few struck some of the residents spread across the land. While most were hit and killed by the impact, eight survived because the shards were smaller and slowed down by distance. The eight that survived found that the pieces could not be removed because their bodies fused the pieces inside them but formed a protection so that the pieces wouldn’t poison them. Each piece gave the person the ability to control a different element. The pieces also gave them the characteristics of the en-fused element but they still remained human. The elements and people who got hit were:
1. Water – Attracts any water and can be manipulated to the user’s desire.
Krail – A farmer who was working in his fields when he was struck.
2. Fire – Absorbs all the heat energy and transforms it into flame.
Naeni – A noble who was on her way home when she was struck.
3. Earth – Gives power to control all earthen material.
Scaex – A teen sleeping in his bed when he was hit.
4. Wind – Controls the air and concentrates it to the creation of the user.
Jula – A shop owner who was closing up shop when she got hit.
5. Thunder – Charges the particles around the user and creates powerful voltage.
Zialo – A poor man who was walking the streets of Sheto when he was hit.
6. Ice – Freezes liquids and then gives control.
Methira – A sailor who was docking in when she got hit.
7. Solar – Harnesses the power of the sun.
Beiran – A traveler who was heading to Rai when he was struck.
8. Lunar – Harnesses the power of the moon.
Ksia – A thief who was robbing a house when she was hit.
Each one had their own weaknesses and strengths. The eight survivors found out one by one that there were other survivors through word of mouth. They then decided to meet and determine what should be done. Seven of them decided it must be hidden away for those who might abuse and conquer with it. Ksia disagreed because she had been corrupted by her thief instincts and wished to abuse it. She played along till the meeting was over and then planned what she would do. She used her power against the others. While she tried to destroy them, the others teamed up and used their powers to overpower his. Because of Ksia’s thief skills she managed to avoid their attacks but after a long battle, the other 7 won. They then sealed the 8th power off, believing it to be to dangerous. Two centuries have passed and the powers have been passed down and spread generation by generation. The Lunar power was forgotten and those who do remember only know legends and dismiss it as merely that; legends.
