Red Army

Lol. It's called "Red Army" in this thread, but "Dead Army" on the file. I wonder what happened there... and what is it meant to be called?
(He already said it. Like, 1/2 a second before me. Damn.)

It sounds a lot like both, big drums and choir, but sounds excellent. I must admit, this sounds close to Hans Zimmers style, whether you aimed for that or not.

What program do you use to make your music?

You've sharpened your skills since last time.

This is still Cubase 4 I'm guessing? You're getting pretty good with it and making a much more professional sound.

This is fantastic, it has such a grandiose feel to it. And to settle the red/dead dispute, imagine Russian Soldiers battling with zombie nazi's on the eastern front of WWII, Thats what I do :D

Yeah, I changed the name to Red Army while posting this thread. Sounded a little too depressive :p.

Thank you for the comments, and yeah jstreet, I'm still using Cubase.

Holy crap! (again)

Serenade, when you're doing music for movies, remember us RMXPers!!

Are there any free programs that are at the same level, or almost as good as the one you use? Cuz I'm not good at composing at all, I just have decent knowledge of scales and I play piano and yeah. So I would never really want to spend money on one...but if there's anything that's free, or maybe a free trial of a good one, I'd love to play around with it.

Well, I honestly haven't really been doing anything for money. Really what you want to do at such an early stage, is simply get your name out there and let people know you can do great stuff.

If you're wanting to start making music, I don't recommend starting with EWQL samples seeing as the price is over the top. I'd suggest starting with something much less expensive (and easier) such as Edirol Orchestra. If after a while you feel the samples don't meet your needs, then you could upgrade to higher end products ;).

You really won't find much quality stuff (as I'm concerned) for free, though there's always Finale Notepad and Melody Assistant if you really want to fool around.

Meh I have Melody Assistant...that's midi though. I meant any free things that use real instrument samples, but I suppose it would be impossible to find one that's free.

ah, it doesn't really matter. Skill should be preferred over omghighqualitysamples. Both MIDI and hypersampling can make the same height of impression.

Holy... Definitely got chills from this.

This makes me think of a Metal Gear Solid trailer. Or something. Something of the same "OMG I HAVE TO PLAY THIS BECAUSE THE TRAILER KNOCKED MY SOCKS OFF" sort of epic-ness.

Wonderful, insanely fantasic work.
