Reactivating RMXP after long time

i am owning RMXP since the first halve of 2006, but i am using it not very often.

for some reasons i reinstalled it on my vista-machine and on a XP-laptop.
the problem is NOT running it on vista, thats working as fine as possible.

my problem is the serialnumber and activationcode.
i am still owning them in a written/digital form.

when i try to use my activationcode it says that it is not valid, when i try to generate a new one, it tells me the serial is allready used (no wonder since i registered it back then in 2006)

is there any known solution to that problem? otherwise i could wave good-bye to 60 USD

You could try emailing Enterbrain.

Getting in contact with Enterbrain is your best bet. Many members at this forum have had the same issue, and Enterbrain is more than reasonable about resetting your download code. I am not sure what sort of proof-of-purchase you need, though. Probably a copy of the Receipt email you recieved, or perhaps the credit card you bought it with. I suggest emailing them first to find out what you need, if anything, for them to reset the code.

I have always contacted Protexis, the English manufacturer. At support@protexis.com. Just give them some information that you used in your purchase, like address and such. They'll reply soon telling you they reactivated your serial number, which you have to supply as well.

Mundanes help is most usefull, sadly when i tried to contact them first time through their website support was offline (the reason why i postet my question over here.

i got help from protexis after i found the supportpage was online again a bit later with the outcome mundane saied ^^;

its a bit of hazzle for me i not like personally since i prefer tinkering around with the maptool most, not making a real story or such ^^

anyway, thanks for all help given
