Re-Remake sprites (C&C)

Wan to know, if the new improved versions of these two is better & if I should keep working on them . . .

I like the new clothes on the guy, but whats that thing on his shoulder? I like his hair color but not the hair style.

I liked the old outfit on the female better, it just needs better shading. Her hair is too dark in the new one, it needs more contrast.

Ironically enough, I liked the contrast on the first sprites better.
