re-obtaining rpgxp

Ok, first off i this is the first time ive posted in about a year and a half so im VERY sorry if this is in the wrong forum/category, im actually a little lost by how much this sites changed, but anyways...

about 6 months ago i completely emptied out my hard drive and "restored" it back to factory condition i guess you would say, anyhow I forgot about rpg maker xp, and now its forever gone from my computer is there someway I could re-obtain it without purchasing it again?

And, yes, i do still have the confirmation key (er whatever its called) from when i purchased it

If you still have a valid, unused confirmation key, you can go to their website and download it, then reactivate it. If yours is used, you'll have to go through tech support. I believe they usually redirect people to a company called Protexis Inc, which handled their activation system and purchases.

Yea, I used the key already before when i first bought it i re-downloaded it and now it says "failed to obtain serial number" etc, so i dont even have a chance to enter the confirmation key, so if u dont know how to do this, do u possibly have a link for there tech support (sorry wouldnt ask but i cant find it myself) and thanks for the help btw :biggrin:

I assume you're on Vista, so I'll redirect you to my tutorial found here. The only other reason I know for this error is having no connection to the internet, which can be solved with the last solution in the first post.

gah cant believe iforgot about the "run as admin" for this little problem i feel like a total nub lol
