for example, in my rpg maker xp folder the .dll files are named rgss102e.dll,  psikey.dll,  scilexer.dll.  Things like that.

Why are you asking this when you could check yourself? Seems an odd question.

Are you getting a missing dll error?

The way that I did this to figure it out for RPGXP was really weird so you may not want to try this...and I don't know if it will work for VX....You could install the program to a flash drive. It will still place all of the .dll files on your comp. so you are still actually running it from your comp. But if you take it to another computer and try to run it, it will give you the name of the first .dll file that you are missing. Then you would have to go back to that computer and get that file. Then you just repeat untill it just says something like.."RPG Maker is not installed" or something....it's probably just easier to ask a mod or an admin around here as they will probably know...but this is just a way to check your self....(just note  that I have only tested this with XP as i have not had the chance to get VX yet..) You could also just try looking in the Windows system32 folder..assuming your using windows....

This are probably your files....there might be more but I doubt it...
