Question about composite characters

I'd like to use the composite characters script in my game (link will be at the bottom).
In my game when certain things are done the charset changes, one example is during combat, is there a way to make it so the composite characters change as well? Also how do I make it disappear when say like you use a car and then come back when you're out of the car?

bump, it's impossible to move on with my game until i know whether this is possible

I do not know about the script you've chosen, but the one I use, which I believe is Galv's, has the ability to use prefixes, which would do as you require. So instead of changing graphic you change prefix, applying your changes to the actual chosen/visual paper doll sprites.
